Euromillions July 2004
Two euromillions millionaires despite no cracked jackpot
At first sight, July 2004 was not a particularly good month for Euromillions players. Although this month, five draws took place – on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23th and 30th of July – no player could hit the Euromillions jackpot. However, in July 2004, Euromillions had two new millionaires.
In the 24th draw on 23rd July, a fellow player won 1,004,100.40 euros. He had checked all the drawn numbers – namely, 7, 10, 27, 31 and 34 – but unfortunately only one of the two lucky stars 3 and 8. If he had correctly guessed the other lucky stars, he would have pocketed more than 16 million euros.
The same happened a week later, when on July 30, 2004 the drawn numbers were 9, 10, 19, 37, 50 as well as lucky star 1 and lucky star 6. This time, too, the jackpot of the Euromillions, which at that time amounted to more than 22 million euros, remained untouched. For this, a fortunate fellow player in the second class with five correct numbers and a real lucky star secured a considerable profit of more than 1.1 million euros - more than enough money for an extended summer holiday.
