Euromillions – double-digit million winnings for lottery start

What date could be better for the first draw of a new lottery than just Friday the 13th? The leaders of Euromillions probably thought this and scheduled the first draw on February 13, 2004 at 9:00 pm Central European time. Only three European countries took part in the Euromillions with France, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The numbers drawn in Paris – 16, 29, 32, 36, 41 as well as lucky stars 7 and 9 – meant no disaster for a participant from France, but rather a great fortune. Because he was the only player with all the right numbers and lucky stars he secured himself the jackpot, in which for the opening was amounted to 15 millioneuro. Another lucky fellow- thanks to five correct numbers and one lucky star – also became a Euro Millions millionaire.

Because of the considerable profit of more than 2.3 million euros, he is probably barely annoyed about the one missed lucky star. In the two next draws, which took place on 20 and 27 February, however, no Euromillions participant could break the jackpot. In the second winning class, however, 593.567.90 respectively 386.709.20 euros were distributed to two or three happy winners.
