Euromillions in France
France is one of Euromillions' three obstetricians: the country has been involved in the European lottery since 2004 as a founding country, alongside England and Spain. The statistics show us, how popular Euromillions in our neighboring country really is: So far, the jackpot has been cracked about 80 times by a French lucky devil, which is almost a quarter of all jackpot winnings.
The highest winnings
As the biggest winnings in the French lottery history so far, stands a Euro 170 million Euromillions jackpot, which was won in France in 2012. By the way, many Germans who live near the border submit their tickets directly in France – but it is more comfortable online.
My Millions
What's so special in France is the additional My Millions draw, which was introduced in 2014: Euromillions players automatically take part and have the chance to win 1 million euros – if their winning code is drawn. Since the drawings of My Millions and Euromillions are independent of each other, there is theoretically the possibility to win twice with only one ticket! With the introduction of My Millions, however, the price for a filled out EuroMillion ticket has increased from 2 Euros to 2.50 Euros. Anyone who wants to play must be at least 18 years of age.
